Mimi Steel, Citizen’s Alliance for Property Rights

Ms. Steel became concerned about the central planning she saw being pushed on the citizens of the Bay Area by unelected officials. She has been researching and studying what is occurring and started to educate and warn people about what they are facing.  She supports local control and planning. She is a leader of CAPR, the Citizens Alliance for Property Rights, a coalition including groups from all across the political spectrum

She is also involved with a lawsuit against ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) represented by Pacific Legal Foundation.  She has teams that attend “visioning” sessions conducted by MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) and ABAG letting their opposition  to Plan Bay Area be known.  She travels around the Bay Area educating people about the threat to their liberty posed by central planners.

Mimi Steel’s presentation will be about the vision of PASZ, the obstacles to that vision, and what PASZ can do about it. It will include a discussion of what is happening at the state, regional, and local level to kill that vision.

She  has degrees in Math Education, Marketing , Math and Psychology, served as a Captain in the US Air Force and is a private pilot.
